In Partnership With …

SUPERSMART DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOUR

’My aim is to help people and their dogs achieve a fulfilling life together through the use of humane training methods and by developing a relationship that is rooted in trust.’

We are delighted to work alongside Maureen Berry of SuperSmart Dog Training, providing clients with kind, ethical advice as well as consulting on the Citidogs Staff Training.

SuperSmart Dog Training & Behaviour – owned and run by Maureen Berry, based in Edinburgh.

My life has been surrounded by animals starting from family members having 6 German Shepherd Dogs, and then getting my very own dog when I was 10 years old, Shep – you guessed it, a collie! I trained Shep, and he came everywhere with me. When I got my first horse and was competing in local competitions from Show Jumping to Dressage, he was my partner.

Dogs and horses have always been a part of my life and the love has never left.

I bring to my business a wealth of experience in dog training and behaviour in a variety of settings, and with a special interest in Aggression, Reactivity, Separation Anxiety and Rescue (Foreign & UK).

Having 4 rescue dogs myself from the UK and abroad, I know that understanding dogs is a must.

I have completed various canine specific courses and seminars; now on the path of certification of Clinical Canine Animal Behaviour (CCAB), I have already achieved Accredited ABTC Trainer Instructor. The ABTC are a recognised organisation I accessed via veterinary practice.

At SuperSmart Dog Training, we put your dog at forefront of everything we do to create a very special partnership between you and your dog.

CLEVER GIRL PHOTOGRAPHY AT CITIDOGS EDINBURGH

Our Philosophy is pretty simple:

1. Pets are family too

2. Memories are worth capturing

3. Pet photography should be accessible to everyone

We are fortunate not only to have the very lovely Vicky with us at Citidogs as a creche assistant and driver, but she has an alter-ego… she is also the talent behind Clever Girl Photography!

COPPOLA CANINE MASSAGE

Islay Coppola – Clinical Canine Massage Therapist

I’m Islay Coppola, a fully insured clinical canine massage therapist dedicated to improving your dog’s comfort, mobility, and quality of life. I work with dogs of all ages- supporting those with orthopaedic conditions like arthritis and hip dysplasia, aiding recovery from injury or surgery and helping sporting dogs stay in peak condition. I use a combination of massage styles- Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, and sports massage techniques to tailor each massage to the individual needs of the client. I also offer specialised manual lymphatic drainage, a gentle and targeted technique particularly useful for dogs recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic inflammation. My service is fully mobile, covering Edinburgh, the Lothians, and the Scottish Borders.

Also as part of our driving & creche assistant team we are equally fortunate to have Islay, who outside of her Citidogs role is a certified Canine Massage Practitioner!

Citidogs is proud to host classes from WOWdogs

My values are kindness, honesty, reliability, trustworthy and I am always committed to what I do. I decided to give up my long standing dietetic post in the NHS, to focus full time on my long term desire and passion to help dogs and their owners live their best lives. I get on well with people and have vast experience in coaching and supporting patients to achieve their goals (nutritional) in my previous career. I feel this is really relevant and important as a dog trainer to be able to translate knowledge into practical advice and support to suit each individual dog and owner

Games based/concept training is a positive, powerful, fun, relationship building method of dog and puppy training. This ethical approach builds on concepts e.g. optimism, disengagement, proximity etc and develops skills to achieve real life science based results.

Addressing underlying emotions that may cause challenging behaviours, WOWdogs training provides an individualised toolbox of strategies to effectively help both owners and dogs. Positive changes are achieved with a focus on building happy engagement.

Important: WOWdogs supports owners invested in their dog/s, looking to build confidence in a kind and effective way. WOWdogs does not include any aversive or punishment style techniques as these will damage relationships and lead to wider behavioural problems.

WOWdogs is run with a passion to help dogs and their owners live their best lives together.
