DOODLE FRIENDS TWINNING AT CITIDOGS

Located at the foot of the Pentland Hills on Swanston Road, EH10 7DS. You’ll find us first on the left after you cross over the bridge.

We are open for drop off between 7-10am, half day/Puppy Party collection is between 1-2pm, and full day collection between 3-6pm.

We have a fleet of 6 vehicles that cover a wide stretch of Edinburgh. Please enquire via our contact form to check for availability in your area.

We have a very high ratio of humans to dogs. Our ongoing staff training is dog centred, taking a kind, modern approach to include Canine Handling, Canine First Aid, and Health & Safety.

Our drivers are also DBS checked during their induction period.

During their day, be it Full, Half or a Puppy Party, your dog will be in one of our 10 separate areas. Our youngsters have dedicated areas of their own, and as (y)our dogs mature they will spend their day in one of our adult areas. We consider age, breed, confidence, energy levels and any health concerns when grouping (y)our dogs.

Individual crate rest periods are encouraged at set times throughout the day to allow for feeding, support puppy development, and to prevent overstimulation and overtiredness.

We do not recommend dogs routinely attending 5 days a week because the daycare environment is a busy and stimulating one and while we do encourage plenty of rest when (y)our dog is with us, they do need a day or two of rest and recharge within the week. If you do require five days of care, we would instead recommend a Woodland Walk or dog walker on non-creche days.

While many, many dogs thoroughly enjoy their days with us, it’s equally true that certain breeds of dogs, or individual dogs may struggle with the busy daycare environment. We always listen to what (y)our dogs are communicating to us, and we’ll always be honest and have open dialogue with owners.

Although every area has a cabin for shelter we are predominantly an outdoor facility, and rain and mud are just a part of the fun! We have soapy showers and towels in abundance for the end of the day, to ensure your dog is clump free and comfortable, however we don’t promise a groomer’s standard of clean!

I’m afraid that we are unable to offer daycare on a one-off or holiday cover basis.

It is a requirement that all male dogs are neutered by 12months of age. This is an upper limit however and based on behaviours displayed. We will keep an open dialogue as your puppy develops, and will always let you know as the time for a neutering break approaches.

Females may not attend whilst in season.

We don’t offer training as part of daycare, however if you would like recommendations of qualified force free trainers or behaviourists in your area then please just ask. Or please see our In Partnership With page

〝Jess has attended Citidogs for a few years nows and absolutely loves it. She pulls on her lead with excitement to get through the gate in the morning, and never seems to want to come home at the end of the day. I take that as an excellent sign! The care Sarah and her team provide is invaluable. very professional with a very apparent love of dogs. I cannot recommend them highly enough.〞
